High Speed Pusher Sorters

	The Pivot Arm Sorter is a sortation device that offers positive, medium-rate carton sorting with throughput rates between 30 and 74 cartons per minute depending on conveyor speed and carton size. The sorter is designed with a pivoting arm diverter and integral vertical belt drive to offer a variety of divert configurations for conveyor sorting systems. It can be configured as a single side or bi-directional sorter.
	Wheel diverts can be utilized when the product has a flat conveying surface. Products must be fairly uniform in size, as products that are too long or short will not divert consistently. Sortation rates can approach 80 sorts per minute. Products are diverted at a 30° or 45° angle on relatively close centers allowing for compact location of divert lanes.
	Specialty pusher sorters can be used for medium rate sortation to 120 products per minute when product weights are less than 25 lb. These sorters are single side units and require proper product spacing of the product to ensure the carton is not caught by the pusher returning to the home position.
	Bi-directional pusher sorters are used primarily for small item sortation with product weights under 10 lb. Sortation rates can approach 120 sorts per minute, but care must be taken to get product staged to the correct side using the first divert pair. As with all sorters, proper product spacing is extremely important.
	Narrow belt Sorters use a series of narrow belts each with an individual take up that enable the system to precisely track the product as it reaches the divert destination. High proction rollers then rise up to grip and gently divert the product at a 90 degree angle in either direction to a conveyor, chute or container. Conveyor speeds of up to 300 feet per minute can be achieved with a sort rate of up to 120 products per minute.
