In Motion Check Weigh System

Cornerstone Automation Systems Incorporated offers a pre engineered Automated Check Weigh System using SolidCheck™ that achieves a rapid, unattended carton check weigh with optional interface into the legacy host system using SolidComm™. Systems are available that can process up to 50 parcels per minute, depending upon carton size.

Overview

The CASI in motion check weigh system is a complete turnkey system designed to fully automate your carton check weigh application. The system is complete with everything you need to automate your check weigh application including conveyor control & application software, CASI-950 In-Motion Scale, barcode scanners, Installation and operator training.

System Operation

As cartons travel down the transportation conveyor, the product is automatically identified by the fixed position barcode scanners or RF Tag readers. Once the carton is identified, the SolidCheck™ system compares the weight sent by the in-motion scale to the upper and lower control limits for the carton. Cartons outside the limits are diverted to a manual processing station.

The zone immediately before the CASI-950 In Motion Scale inducts cartons onto the scale once the current carton fully exits the zone. A Data Logic fixed position barcode scanner reads the pick label applied earlier in the process identifying the carton for SolidCheck™.
