TGW-Ermanco XenoROL® Right Angle Sorter
Key Benefits: Modular, Sort On-the-fly, High Throughput

Designed for use with TGW-ERMANCO’S XenoROL® line-shaft-driven live roller conveyor, the TGW-ERMANCO Right Angle Sorter (ERS) is a high-performance urethane belt transfer that transfers products on-the-fly, greatly enhancing throughput. The ERS diverts products at 90 degrees, changing product orientation, at rates up to 40 cartons per minute.
While the design is similar to TGW-ERMANCO’S extremely popular Urethane Belt Transfer (UBT), there are several important differences. The biggest enhancement is the addition of the anti-roll-off device, which retains the transfer belt in the groove of the carrying sheaves while picking up the product as it moves across the transfer, also known as picking up “on-the-fly”. Rolling round belts out of the wheel grooves is a common problem when transferring heavy products at high speeds and elevated sort rates. Other upgrades are pre-mounted solenoid valves to provide the correct air flow, variable frequency drives on bi-directional transfers to fine-tune the system, extended urethane carrying belts through the frame of the transfer to provide a smooth transition to the adjacent or receiving conveyor and multiple quantities of belts per transfer.
Most often, the ERS is combined with other line-shaft conveyors to form the pick zone module, which is a cost-effective pick-or-pass zone-picking solution for split-case order fulfillment. The anti-roll-off device makes the transfer ideal to be used in high throughput applications such as the pick zone module. Throughput rates up to 40 cartons per minute can be obtained with the self-powered, high-speed reversing ERS.
