TGW-Ermanco Pick Zone Module Conveyor
Key Benefits: Proven, Reliable, Great Value

The Pick Zone Module is a cost-effective pick or pass, zone picking solution for split-case order fulfi llment. It consists of a unique arrangement of proven TGW-ERMANCO standard products that transfer totes or cartons from a main-line conveyor into predetermined picking zones adjacent and parallel to the main line. This transfer can be accomplished using either a Right Angle Sorter (ERS®) or Urethane Belt Transfer (UBT).
The Pick Zone Module consists of a line-shaft-driven induction conveyor which accomplishes container separation and metering for scanning, the transfer, adjacent receiving conveyor, and powered take-away conveyor parallel to the induction conveyor. Throughput rates up to 25 cartons per minute can be obtained with the bi-directional UBT, and 40 cartons per minute with the reversing ERS.
These high rates are achieved by transferring "on-the-fly" and using a "velocity transfer". When utilizing line-shaft-driven induction conveyors with the bi-directional UBT or the single-direction ERS, the entire Pick Zone Module is driven by one motor. The reversing ERS is driven by its own high-speed drive. The choice and arrangement of all supporting conveyors and devices can be tailored to meet your specific application.
