Common Carrier Compliance Checkweigh

Stop Common Carrier Charge Backs for Overweight Cartons!
Distribution operations can save money on shipping costs by installing a Common Carrier Compliance Checkweigh System to record weight of items shipped. This process provides the user with an easily accessible audit record of the weights of packages shipped by carrier barcode & date. Using these records allows the user to dispute common carrier charge backs for weight rather than blindly accepting the bill sent by the common carrier. With any checkweigher, the parts per minute rate depends upon the item lengths, weights, conveyor speed, and required gap.
How the System Works
Cartons
move through the system as they are loaded into the truck. A
fixed position barcode scanner reads the carrier barcode and
appends the weight to the audit record. The carton is then loaded
into the truck. Exceptions such as no reads and cartons for
QC audit ctan either be diverted or stop the conveyor using
diverters such as the SortMaster
100.
