CASI-960 Unattended In-Motion Scale
The CASI 960 is a PC Based, free standing, self contained in-motion scale designed for distribution center use in random check weigh and freight manifesting applications. Using the CASI Core as a scale controller gives the 960 Conveyor scale the ultimate in flexibility and inline scale accuracy.
The CASI 960 utilizes
primarily off the shelf components rather than proprietary controllers,
giving the customer the ability to purchase replacement
parts from local vendors. The 960's system interface is extremely
easy to use, utilizing a familiar Windows 7 interface and voice
commands in English and Spanish. Data logging is provided standard
in an easy to export tab delimited format. Security for your
data is provided by a three level login system.
| All control is delivered from the rugged CASI Core industrial PC for integrated applications where other functions such as labeling or sortation are required. CASI controllers use solid state data storage, a 23 inch widescreen high resolution HMI and the programming and network flexibility only a Windows 7 product can deliver. | ![]() |
| The CASI Core offers standard Ethernet & serial and optional DeviceNet, Profibus, Modbus and Ethernet/IP as options. | ![]() |

Specifications
Standard sizes for the CASI-961 are 33" by 18" & 47" by 24". Custom sizes up to 72" by 36" are also available with additional lead time. Standard product weight range is from 0.1 lb. to 100 lbs., with custom product weight range also available.Accuracy for the CASI 961 is up to ± 0.03 lb.
With any Checkweigher, the parts per minute rate depends upon the item lengths, weights, conveyor speed, and required gap.
CASI-960 Operation
The CASI-960 Unattended in-motion checkweigh system uses a simplified design with 4 compression load cells mounted on a massive three inch steel frame. This incredibly stable platform delivers superior accuracy and reliability due to a simple but effective design. The conveyor scale can be either belt or roller and is controlled by a 24 volt DC drive allowing for on scale zone control and easy installation.
Data Logging Software
Checkweigh manager is an advanced checkweigh system management module that ships free with every CASI checkweigh system. The built in operator HMI and I/O control allows each checkweigh system we sell to perform conveyor control functions as well as interface to barcode scanners and other peripheral devices.
CASI-960 Advantages
The built in zone
control of the CASI 960 automated check weigh system
can adjust conveyor speed to carton length producing the highest throughput
available. System carton rate is no longer dependant upon a
set scale length and speed, as these can be adjusted
to each individual carton. This feature also guarantees one carton on
the scale freeing you from complicated break metering belts
or operators to manage product gap. Logic for an
integrated reject mechanism for out of tolerance cartons is provided.
The CASI 960 includes build in divert logic for carton reject mechanisms like the SortMaster series.
