Full Case Pick Verification System

CASI offers a Full Case Pick Verification system using a combination of all available auto-ID Technologies.  The system has been installed for applications of over 60 cartons per minute and can be engineered for much higher throughput.

Overview

The CASI Full Case Pick Verification System is delivered as a pre-engineered system customized to your application. The system can consist of a barcode scanner array,  metering conveyor, Carton Dimensioning system, Vision auditing System, SolidPick™ checkweigh system and application software.

System Components

Hardware

Each pick verification system can consist of one or more of the following items:

• Fixed Position Barcode Scanner array of up to six sides
• System Controller
• In Motion Scale
• Brake Metering Conveyor
• Carton Cubing System

Software

• SolidInspect™ Vision Capture System with up to 8 cameras
• SolidComm™ Legacy Host Interface
• Conveyor Controls

System Operation

Before cartons reach the pick verification system,  the system obtains the current pick information from the warehouse management system. As cartons enter the full case pick verification system, a gap is created between the cartons using the metering conveyor.  Each carton travels through the system  and the following information obtained:

• Carton Length, width & height
• Barcode if any is read from any of the six sides
• Weight is obtained from the in motion scale
• Vision system template match is performed

Exception Process

All of these identification operations take place at the same time.  Incorrect picks can be diverted and stop the conveyor or be diverted to a jackpot lane.

Single Point of Control

The CASI Full Case Pick Verification System utilizes our SolidInspect™ vision system with support of up to 8 cameras per controller. The system uses our SolidComm™ legacy host interface to seamlessly access information from your ERP,  WMS or other external application.
